Desktop overview
A practical reference for installing, protecting and troubleshooting an installed Wizz Wallet application.
Release verification. Desktop installers and exact Wizz screen names are not yet verified. Confirm your release through the official website. Platform instructions below are general guidance.
Desktop release status
This guide covers desktop safety practices and common operating-system issues. A verified Wizz desktop installer, release number, minimum system requirements and signing identity have not been supplied for this site. Confirm availability through the official Wizz website before installing anything.
The Windows .exe, macOS .dmg or .zip, and Linux .AppImage or .deb formats described here are platform conventions, not confirmation that Wizz publishes all of them. Screens and available features depend on the actual release.
Before your first transaction
- 1Verify the source of the installer and its release notes.
- 2Make an offline recovery backup before depositing funds.
- 3Confirm the network and receive address.
- 4Test with a small amount before transferring a larger balance.
Desktop and extension are different
An installed application is not automatically available to websites as a browser wallet. Only use a desktop connection method explicitly documented for your release. Browser-extension instructions do not establish desktop compatibility.
Windows desktop essentials
A Windows .exe cannot be installed as a native macOS or Linux application. Check Windows version and System type in Settings → System → About against the official release requirements. Use your normal Windows user account to run the wallet.
